« Are all the cows mad ? » Lorraine CRAIG Géographe, Royal Geographical Society |
|
|
| Who can deny the significance of food ? It has a central role in our
health and pleasure as well as in our economy and culture. This talk will
provide a perspective on food systems within the UK, and demonstrate the
rich variety of habits that are addressed within each small geographical
area
How have habits changed since "mad-cow disease" ? How has "foot-and-mouth" changed the view? What about low carbohydrate diets ? Has this affected what food is consumed ? What are the global issues affecting eating habits and food distribution ? Dr Lorraine Craig Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) |
